Like after Follow

When someone follows you, the best thing you can do is show up. Kenji’s Like After Follow feature handles that for you — it likes a few of their posts right after they follow your account. It’s quick, subtle, and makes the connection feel a bit more personal. How Like after Follow works As soon as a the system detects a user followed you, it will check out their profile and like a few recent posts. Usually anywhere between one to three, depending on the number of posts the user who followed you has. It spaces them out so it doesn’t feel robotic, and this always happens before any unfollowing comes into play. It’s a small thing, but it keeps the conversation going. People notice that you noticed. You don’t have to set anything up! This feature it’s already ON by default. If you don’t want to use it, you can turn it off anytime from the dashboard but it's advisable to keep the feature on. Why it matters • It keeps your new followers engaged early • Makes your activity look more natural • It sparks real interactions — likes, messages, even increases the chances of followsbacks A few things to note Since Like after Follow is a part of our core service, it’s important to keep a few things in mind: - We only Like posts from accounts that our system followed, and that have followed you back - You can see the number of Likes done in your Dynamics Screen, in the Like after Follow section - We Like posts before unfollowing an account - Because of this, there will be a delay of a day or two before you notice an update to your Like after Follow counter

Targeting Suggestions

Not sure who to target? You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Kenji gives you a running list of suggestions based on what’s already working for other accounts like yours. It’s not random, either. These suggestions come from real data as we look at what kinds of accounts drive solid engagement across different industries and use that to guide your setup. How Suggested Targeting Works Targeting Suggestions will show up automatically every time you add any targets to your account. Go to your Targeting tab and click Add Target. Targeting Suggestions will show up automatically every time you add any targets to your account. These might be creators, brands, or competitors that already have the kind of audience you’re after. These suggestions are categorized into dozens of different groups, all of which are decided by Instagram directly. We automatically detect which niche your account belongs to and only show you suggested targets that fit that specific niche. Of course, if your brand focus has shifted or you believe your account belongs to a different niche, updating your category in the dashboard will help refine future suggestions. Important things to note Targeting Suggestions is a feature that works straight out of the box, but there are still a few things to keep in mind when using it: - The system updates suggestions based on what’s working, not where accounts are located - You’re not locked into anything — remove or replace targets whenever you want - New suggestions show up often, so it’s worth checking back every now and then

The Follow/Unfollow Method

The follow/unfollow method is one of the most effective and natural ways to grow your Instagram account. It’s simple. Kenji follows users who are likely to be interested in your content based on the set of targets of your choice, increasing the chance that they’ll follow you back. How the Follow-Unfollow Method works 1. Connect Your Account To get started, log in with your Instagram credentials. This step is required to enable the follow/unfollow feature. Once connected, Kenji will begin optimizing your activity in the background. 2. Set Your Targets Targets are Instagram accounts or hashtags your ideal followers already follow or engage with. You can either choose them manually or use Kenji’s targeting suggestions to simplify the process. You can learn more about setting up your Targeting here. 3. Following Stage After setup, Kenji begins following users from your Target list. The system starts slow, around 15–20 follows per day, to mimic natural activity. Within 24–48 hours, your account will be fully warmed up, and Kenji can begin following a bigger number of users daily, depending on your setup, account health, and other factors that can impact your growth. 4. Boosting Visibility To boost your visibility and help users notice you, Kenji also views stories posted by the users it follows. This interaction feels organic and increases your chances of getting followed back. 5. Unfollowing Stage After 2—4 days, Kenji will unfollow the same users it followed earlier, regardless of whether they followed you back. If a user does follow back, Kenji will like 1–3 of their recent posts to maintain the connection and keep the engagement going. 6. Whitelisting Kenji automatically whitelists all users you followed before connecting your account, meaning it won’t unfollow anyone you were already following. You can also manually add users to your Whitelist anytime if you want to protect certain connections from being removed. Why unfollowing is part of the strategy? Following users get your profile seen, but unfollowing is just as important since it keeps your following count balanced and ensures you don’t hit Instagram’s 7,500-following limit. This allows Kenji to continue following new users and keep your growth going over time. Bottom line: That’s it, that’s how Kenji uses the follow/unfollow method to grow your account safely and effectively. Although the follow/unfollow method has its limitations, it’s still one of the most effective organic growth strategies out there — especially when it’s done right

The tech behind Kenji

Kenji was built to grow your Instagram the right way — safely, consistently, and without shortcuts that could put your account at risk. Here’s what’s behind it. Real Phones, Not Emulators Most automation tools rely on virtual machines or browser-based bots, which Instagram can easily detect. Kenji doesn’t do that. Instead, we run everything through a network of real phones. That means every action such as follows, likes, views, looks like it’s coming from a real human holding a device, cuz they do. That’s one of the main reasons accounts stay safe while using Kenji. One Account = One Device + One Proxy Every client in the Kenji system gets assigned a dedicated mobile device and a private residential IP. This setup makes your activity look like it’s coming from a real person, using the same phone from the same place, over and over again. Behavior That Mimics a Real Person Kenji doesn’t just automate actions, it mimics behavior. Scrolling, watching stories, pauses between actions, and day-to-day variations are all intentionally randomized to reflect how actual users behave. Before Kenji even starts interacting, there’s a 72-hour warm-up phase. During this time, your account eases into activity with low-risk actions (like viewing stories and browsing profiles) before moving into follows, likes, and DMs. That natural buildup helps Instagram treat your activity as “normal”. Why This Matters Most growth tools prioritize volume, rapid follows, likes, and interactions designed to boost numbers quickly. But Instagram’s systems are built to detect patterns like that, and when they do…the result is usually action blocks, limited reach, or account restrictions. Kenji avoids those risks by staying closer to how real users behave. Real devices, real IPs, and human-like timing create a level of consistency that keeps your account under the radar and your growth stable over time.

Close Friends Auto-Adder

Instagram doesn’t always show your content to everyone who follows you, which means that even your most engaged followers might miss your stories or updates. Kenji’s new Close Friends Auto-Adder feature helps you boost visibility of your stories by automatically adding your current and all future followers to your Close Friends list. This way, your stories have a better shot at being seen. How Does It Work? 1. Turn On the Feature You can turn on the Close Friends Auto-Adder in your dashboard. Once it’s on, it will start adding your current followers to your Close Friends list. 2. Add Followers Gradually Instead of adding everyone all at once, Kenji adds up to 1000 followers a day. This approach makes sure everything looks natural to Instagram. 3. Adding New Followers When you get new followers, they will automatically be added to your Close Friends list, so they don’t miss out on your updates. 4. Clean Up If you need to remove followers from your Close Friends list, you can turn on the auto-removal option. This option slowly removes people while keeping your original Close Friends list the same. 5. Pause Anytime If you want to stop adding followers to your Close Friends list, you can pause the feature anytime directly from your Kenji dashboard. Why use the Close Friends Auto-Adder? This feature is built to help increase story views and overall engagement, especially if: - You’ve seen a drop in visibility - You want to re-engage inactive followers - You want more people to see your stories consistently Bottom line: Stories shared with Close Friends show up with a green circle, a visual cue that tells your followers they’re seeing something exclusive. That small detail makes a big difference. In other words, it catches attention, builds curiosity, and encourages more views — because it feels personal. Whether you’re trying to rebuild engagement or want to expand the reach of your stories, Close Friends Auto-Adder is a simple but powerful way to increase visibility and build deeper connections with your audience.

Targeted Growth vs. Growth Pods Network

Kenji offers two distinct growth methods — so you can align your strategy with your goals. Whether you’re focused on building a loyal community or growing your follower count quickly, there’s an approach that fits. Targeted Growth Targeted Growth is designed to help you connect with people who are most likely to care about your content. Here’s how it works: - You’ll need to log in with your Instagram credentials - You choose targets your ideal audience already follows or engages with - You can use targeting suggestions to simplify setup and speed up the process - Kenji engages with their followers through follows, likes, story views and even DMs - Over time, Kenji unfollows the users it followed, keeping your following list clean Disclaimer: Targeted growth is available on Digital Influencer and CyberSocial Pro only. Growth Pods Network Want faster growth without setting up detailed targeting? The Growth Pods Network is a great option. Once enabled, Kenji places your account into a Growth pod, a group of real Instagram users in your niche who have opted in for follower-based growth. Disclaimer: The Growth Pods are available on all plans, and they work alongside any organic strategy to give your account an extra boost. Important Notes - Every account is automatically pre-set to the Growth Pods Network, as most clients prefer rapid growth and increased visibility. - You can switch between Growth Pods and Targeted Growth from the Dynamics page at any given moment. Which One Should You Use? - Go with Targeted Growth if you’re focused on building a niche audience through organic engagement. - Try the Growth Pods Network if you want faster exposure and steady follower growth. The bottom line is…you’re in control. Switch strategies anytime based on what your account needs most and grow your audience in a way that feels right.

Followbacks, Activity, and Queue

These three sections give you a behind-the-scenes view of how your growth is going and what Kenji is working on. You’ll see which targets are doing well, how people are responding, and what’s coming up next. Followbacks Here’s where you see which users followed you back and from which targets they came. The data updates with a slight delay. Usually, you’ll see numbers update a couple of days after Kenji follows someone. That’s because we wait to see who actually returns the follow before unfollowing. A followback rate above 10% is solid. If you’re seeing 6 or 7 percent, that can still improve over time. Anything below 5 percent? Probably time to swap out that target for something more relevant. Changing out weak targets helps keep your results moving in the right direction. Activity This tab logs everything Kenji has done for you, organized by each target. You can check follow and unfollow actions, when they happened, and how a specific target is performing. It’s a helpful spot when you’re testing new strategies or trying to figure out if a target type (like influencers or small brands) is working better than others. Queue The Queue shows which accounts are next in line to be followed or unfollowed. You don’t need to micromanage this section, but if you ever want to make quick changes, it’s good to know it’s there. Removing someone from the queue immediately brings in a new user from the same target. If you delete a target entirely, users already in the queue will still be processed unless you take them out manually. Final Note You don’t need to check these tabs every day. But when you want to clean up your target list, test something new, or figure out why results slowed down, this is where to look. A quick review now and then can make a big difference
