Want to make a solid first impression with new followers? Kenji’s Welcome DM feature automatically lets you send a personalized message once we detect someone has followed you.

This is a great way to start conversations, drive traffic, or simply say thanks. It’s subtle, human, and built to boost engagement.

How Welcome DMs work

Once enabled, Kenji will automatically send a direct message to each new follower. You control the message—tone, length, vibe—and can change it anytime.

Popular ways to use Welcome DMs:

• Say hello and thank them for following

• Share a link (YouTube, TikTok, product page, website, etc.)

• Recommend a recent post to check out

Short and sweet works great. So does bold and fun. It’s your call, really.

How to set it up

To turn on Welcome DMs, head into your Kenji dashboard, navigate to Dynamics and look for the Welcome DMs section. Flip the toggle on, drop your message into the text box, and hit save.

That’s it. No extra setup. And if you ever want to update the message, just pop back in and make the change.

What happens next

Kenji waits a few days before sending the DM to your new followers, just so it feels natural. You’ll be able to see how it’s working in your dashboard and track the number of sent DMs.
